Garnets are a group of silicate minerals varying in colour from red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, black and colourless, with reddish shades being the most common. Depending on quality they are usually used either as gemstones or abrasives. The crystals are most commonly found in a dodecahedral shape but can also be found in both a trapezohedron as well as a hexoctahedral habit.
Garnet is said to be the crystal of passion and to also bring order to your life, repelling negative energies.
