This sub-shrub produces soft grey-green foliage on silvery-white stems and is known as Russian sage. Blue lavender-like blooms are produced on 1.2 meter high spikes during late summer to early autumn. This variety has larger flower heads than the species. The deeply cut foliage smells of sage when crushed or bruised.
Fully hardy, ideal for nutrient poor, well drained soils in full sun.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot.
