A low growing, drought resistant, spreading shrub that produces masses of pale, creamy- yellow flowers with a dark burgundy spot at the base of each petal. The blooms are produced from mid spring until early summer and can be produced in such an abundance that makes it difficult to miss.
The elliptic, grey green leaves are generally evergreen but may be knocked back during very hard, prolonged winters. Being a Cistus and Halimium hybrid makes it ideal for nutrient poor, well drained soils tolerating hot, drying sun. What it does not like is cold drying winds so plant in a sheltered spot.
Maximum height 60cm with a 60 to 90cm spread, perfect for large rock gardens or cascading over stone walls.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot. May be cut back for shipping.
