A yellow/golden leaved form with a spreading, mat forming, mossy looking habit and will grow just about anywhere. Growth is vigorous but does not generally outcompete other plants and is ideal for growing under shrubs, in walls, between paving slabs, as a shady lawn alternative and another million and one garden uses. It can even be grown as a houseplant and is often used in vivarium’s and terrariums.
It will happily grow in dry soils once established but ideally a moist but well drained soil is preferred. Full sun to full shade does not matter although plants grown in shade are a much richer green. Shallowly rooted so please do not expect a pot full of roots. Some say it is evergreen. We have found this not to always be the case and prolonged cold and frost will kill off the foliage and completely blacken the leaves. Do not worry, re-growth will come through again in the spring.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot.
