Probably the hardiest of the Australian acacia with triangular leaf-like phyllodes along arching, often almost weeping branches. In late winter to early spring the branches are covered in bright yellow, fluffy ball like flowers. Plant in full sun in a well drained, acid to neutral, sandy/ loamy soil. Cold resistant, drought resistant, ideal for nutrient poor soils and coastal planting.
Maximum height is around 4 meters but can be kept much smaller with an annual pruning. Young growth is very fast and spindly so may need staking initially until a thick trunk has formed.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot.
