A very popular plant with flower arrangers, suitable for both fresh and dried arrangements. Craspedia has low growing, silvery green foliage and produces tall stems, anything between 30 to 60cm tall, topped with individual, bright yellow globes of small flowers.

It was usually grown as an annual, but it is actually a perennial in it's native ranges of Australia and New Zealand and is proving reliably hardy in UK zone nine gardens if planted in sharply drained soil and full sun. Wind and salt tolerant so ideal for coastal planting.
