A smallish tree with a naturally conical growth habit and dark green needle like leaves that are white beneath. The blue to purple cones are produced usually in the summer turning brown by the middle of winter. Any moist but well drained soil in full sun. Slow growing and requires little if any maintenance. Max height is said to get to 12m but that takes a while. Shelter from cold winds.
