Mexican pine that obviously originates in Mexico but despite it's warm climate origins seems to do well in milder parts of the UK. Needs space to attain full size but can be kept pruned to maintain a much smaller shrub like tree. Pruning must be started at a young age though. Often nicknamed the orang-utan pine due to the arcing branches with soft hanging needles that are reminiscent of an orang-utans arms. Full sun with well drained soil. Drought resistant once established. Our own tree at home has withstood short spells at -10c.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot. May be cut back for shipping.
