Perennial plant that produces huge clumps of dark green shiny leaves up to 1.5 meters long. White flowers with purple bracts appear on spikes up to 230cm in height during mid to late summer and make good cut flowers. Semi evergreen in warmer parts of the country and during mild winters.
Plant in full sun to half shade in humus rich well drained soil. Hates being disturbed once settled so choose its permanent spot carefully. They also do not like being in a pot so please do not expect them to look spectacular to start with. It's not until planted into the ground and given time to establish that they come into their own.

Available as young plants in either 9cm or 2L pots.

May be cut back for shipping. Sent dormant in winter.
