Large clumps of thick stems up to 1.5 meters tall and 40cm long lance shaped leaves create a very luxuriant effect. The slightly open corymbs of salmon pink flowers appear late in summer to early autumn. Will die back to the ground for winter if grown in frost prone areas but new growth appears from the rhizome the following spring. Cloche protection early in the season will give them a good head start and bring them into flower earlier. Rich, moist but well drained soil and lots of feeding and watering once new growth starts. Average height around 1.5 meters with a 75cm spread.
You will receive a young plant in a 9cm pot. May be cut back for shipping and sent as dormant plants in winter.
