A small bushy evergreen shrub with green rounded leaves and nodding clusters of yellow and red, tubular flowers up to 2cm long. Flowering is usually anytime from autumn until spring and is generally triggered by cooler temperatures. Our own plant that is happily growing outside usually comes into flower around late December until late March. Plant in any well drained to moist but well drained soil in part shade. Maximum height 1 meter with a 50cm spread. Proving to be reliably hardy in UK zone 9 gardens.
