A spectacular looking deciduous tree when in full bloom often grown as a specimen or trained over pergolas and archways. Sometimes called the golden rain tree due to the long heavily laden racemes of yellow legume like flowers. All parts are poisonous so do not plant near ponds as the leaf and bloom fall can wipe out most if not all the pond life. The timber of this tree is particularly dense and dark so is often used in wood turning and fine carpentry.
Plant in a moist but well drained soil in full sun. Do not allow the soil to become to dry during the summer and equally do not plant in areas that are prone to water logging in winter. Max height approx 6mtrs.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot. Dormant in winter. May be cut back for shipping.
