A deciduous large shrub to smallish tree with broad heart shaped leaves up to 10cm wide. The rosy pink flowers appear in clusters on older wood and appear in spring just before the leaves unfurl. Flattened purplish pods up to 12cm in length follow flowering and can last well into autumn. Easy to grow and will tolerate most soils in a full sun to part shade position.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot. Sent as dormant plants in winter. May be cut back for shipping.
