‘Strictus’ is a clump-forming, dense grass producing green and yellow striped leaves growing on upright stems. To be able to produce flowers this grass needs a hot and long growing season. Once this occurs, stunning rose-gold plumes emerge - which happen in Autumn. In winter the foliage dries out and fades into a tanned colour. Plant in areas of full sun either South-facing, North-facing, West-facing or East-facing. Requires acidic to neutral to alkaline, well-drained or moist but well-drained soil such as; chalk, clay sand or loam.
