This semi-evergreen perennial, produces striking violet, bell-shaped flowers with bluish-green foliage and reddish stems. Blooms over a long season especially when regularly deadheaded. Perfect at home in an exotic border as it is in a cottage garden. For best results position in full sun, either South-facing or West-facing and keep sheltered from the wind. Requires acidic to neutral to alkaline, moist but well-drained soil such as; loam, sand or chalk.
