This semi-evergreen, mat forming perennial has toothed, oval, purple-flushed foliage, that turns bronze in colder months. It produces little, blue, saucer-shaped flowers with white centres. Blooms from late Winter to Mid-Summer. Position in areas of full sun either South-facing or West-face and can tolerate light shade. Must be kept sheltered from the wind. Requires acidic to alkaline, well-drained or moist but well drained soil such as; sand, chalk or loam.
