A deciduous perennial with oval, furry, toothed, scented, green leaves on deep purple stems. Beautiful, aromatic, two-lipped, magenta pink flowers appear from Spring to Autumn (May-October). Position in areas of either full sun or partial shade and keep sheltered from the wind. Requires moderately fertile, acidic to alkaline, moist but well-drained or well-drained soil such as; chalk, loam or sand.
