This clump-forming, evergreen, South African perennial has flat, dark green foliage with white edges. In Spring, pale brown, rounded, flower spikelets appear. Position in full sun either; South-facing, East-facing or West-facing. Usually recommended to keep indoors during Winter as it is classed as tender in frost but we are finding it to be reliably hardy in UK zone 9 gardens if given a well drained soil, in a sheltered, full sun spot. Requires neutral to alkaline, fertile, well-drained soil such as; chalk, loam or sand.
