Evergreen shrub with large glossy leathery leaves that love shade even tolerating deep shade. Often grown as a houseplant but is very hardy so suitable for growing outside in the UK.

Drumstick-like flower spikes are produced in late summer but are not very interesting so can be removed if required.

Tolerates most aspects and soils but can tend to take on a yellow tinge to the foliage if grown in full sun. Suitable for a pot due to it being slow growing.

Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot.
