This clump-forming, deciduous perennial is native to Japan. It produces large, heart-shaped, corrugated, greyish blue leaves. In Summer, it bears beautiful, funnel-shaped, lilac-flushed white flowers. Position in partial shade and keep sheltered from cold, drying winds. Requires acidic to neutral, moist but well-drained or well-drained soil such as; clay or loam.
