This is a low maintenance, compact, clump-forming, deciduous grass that originates from; America, Mexico and Argentina. It bears gently arched, thin, green foliage that fades straw gold in Autumn. Cut back the dead foliage right down to a few inches in spring after the worst of the frosts have passed to tidy the plant and allow fresh, new green growth to come through. In Summer, slender, curving, feathery flower panicles appear. Position in full sun facing either North, South, East or West. Requires acidic to alkaline, moist but well-drained or well-drained, medium to light, moderately fertile soil, tolerates most soil types.
