A vigorous shrub with arching branches and lance-shaped, deep green and creamy-white variegated semi-evergreen leaves. Grown mainly for its for its heavily scented panicles of red-purple flowers which appear from mid-summer to autumn. The blooms are loved by butterflies, beas and other pollinating insects. Prune back hard each year in spring to encourage fresh, dense growth and plenty of flowers. Maximum height 2 meters with a similar spread. Happy in most soils with full sun for best flowering.

Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot. May be cut back for shipping and will be sent as dormant plants in winter.
