A clump forming perennial with strap-shaped leaves and tall stems each bearing a large umbel of nodding, deep violet-blue flowers up to 1m high during the summer. Root restriction aids flowering with these chaps and are suitable for pot growth although the pot will need winter protection.
Reliably hardy when grown in the ground. Any well drained soil and drought resistant when established in the soil. Keep pot grown specimens well watered during the warmer months.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot. Sent as dormant plants in winter.
