This is a bushy, clump-forming, deciduous perennial with pinnately divided, bright-green leaves, tinged bronze when young. In Spring, it features sprays of little, bowl-shaped, occasionally spurred, white flowers. Position in partial shade sheltered from cold, drying winds. Requires fertile, acid to neutral, humus-rich soil such as clay, loam or sand.
