This is a semi-evergreen, clump-forming perennial that is native to Southern United States and Mexico. It bears large, ovate, greyish green leaves glazed with white powder. In Summer, it features beautiful, panicles of violet-purple flowers on long, wiry stems. For best flowering grow in full sun, for largest leaves and tallest stems grow in partial shade. Keep in a sheltered position. Requires acid to alkaline, pond/in water, loam soil. Just as happy in a bog garden as it is in a pond. Pretty much fully hardy in most of the UK but during cold winters it will lose it's foliage.

Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot. Sent as dormant plants in winter. May be cut back for shipping.
