This deciduous climber is native to southern Europe and the Middle East. It bears oval, glossy, deep-green leaves. In Summer, it features stunning, clusters of star-shaped, 5-lobed, purple flowers with green tips. Follow by green, slim seeds pots which release silky seeds. Position in full sun facing either South or West and keep in a sheltered spot. Perfect against a wallside or trellis. Requires fertile, acid to alkaline, well-drained soil – tolerates most soil types.
