Probably one of the best buddleja available with rich violet blue flowers and a yellow to orange throat. It blooms profusely in late summer usually between July and August. Later flowering can be encouraged by hard pruning in May. Tolerates most soils and has an eventual height of about 2.5mtrs with a similar spread. Sweetly scented and rich in nectar it is a must for butterflies, bees and other pollinating insects. Full sun for best growth. Due to its incredibly fast growth rate and semi-evergreen foliage it does make an excellent shelter shrub for less hardy exotics to be planted under.
