Dryopteris erythrosora Copper Shield Fern
DRYO-ER-PRO
Hot Plant Company
- Description
This semi-evergreen fern up to 60cm tall forms a neat tufty clump of light green, almost leathery, bipinnate fronds. The young foliage often has a pink tinge and bulbils can often form at the frond tips. Grows well in part shade in moist but well drained soil. Although it will often remain evergreen during mild winters the foliage often gets tatty during the colder months so give all the old foliage a good cutting back in early spring just before the new years fronds come through. This will create much cleaner looking plants through the rest of the year.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot.
