This clump-forming, evergreen fern is native to western North America. It produces thin, rubbery, spear-shaped, pinnate, deep green fronds. Position in areas of either full shade or partial shade. Requires acidic to neutral, moist but well-drained or moisture-retentive soil such as; chalk, clay, loam or sand – tolerant to most soil. Soil should not be let to dry out between watering.
