A beautiful trailing shrub ideal for hanging baskets and wall plantings. Silvery blue evergreen (if kept above 10c at night) needle like foliage on trailing stems with numerous amazing looking parrots beak like flowers varying from bright orange to deep red. These lovelies do not like cold wet so should be grown as an annual or given winter protection. We have had them survive short periods down to -2c but the compost must be dry. May be root hardy in milder parts of the UK or warm sheltered city gardens but we have had little luck in Sussex overwintering outside.
Any well drained soil in full sun. Water regularly if growing in a hanging basket but do not let the compost remain sodden. Warning, the plants can be a bit bare and tatty in the winter but vigorous new growth comes through in late spring.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot.
