Love it or hate it this canna cannot be missed when grown in the garden. 120cm tall stems of gaudy, large paddle shaped leaves striped green and yellow and topped with vivid orange flowers make it a real show stopper. Plant it in a hot border alongside darker foliage and it positively glows.
Plenty of food and water during the growing season and it quickly forms reasonable sized clumps. Not fussy about soil type but a humus rich, moist but well drained soil will give the best results. The rhizomes are reliably hardy in warmer parts of the UK if given a thick winter mulch. In colder parts lift and store like you would Dahlias after the first heavy frost has cut back the foliage.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot. May be cut back for shipping. Sent as dormant plants in winter.
