A clump-forming, rhizomatous, herbaceous perennial with upright, strap-like leaves. Flowers appear from late spring to early summer on erect stems. Blooms have violet-blue flowers with long, broad drooping falls and shorter ruffled standards. Plant in any well drained soil with full sun. Do not cover the top of the rhizome with soil. Max height 90cm with a 60cm spread.

Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot. May be cut back for shipping and will be sent as dormant plants in winter.
