A relatively small agave forming rosettes of stiff, mid to dark green leaves often edged with white. Usually reaches around 20cm in diameter with a similar height although the flower spike on mature plants can often reach several meters tall. Although the flowers are not particularly stunning the flower spike does look quite impressive.
Plant in any well drained, gritty, sandy compost in full sun. Proving to be quite cold tolerant if kept dry and seems to be able to withstand most winters outdoors in UK zone 9 gardens, especially in coastal areas. Our own plants have tolerated down to -5c but are sheltered from the winter wet.
Sent as a young plant in a 5cm Pot.
