Aloe arborescens Candelabra Aloe
ALOE-ARB
- Description
Gorgeous shrub like aloe which can reach up to 3 meters high with a similar spread. The succulent leaves have a hint of blue to them, are thick, freshy and tooth edged. Vibrant red flower spikes are produced on and off through the year on mature plants. Not the most hardy Aloe so best grown in a pot and kept in a Frost free greenhouse or conservatory for the winter moving outside for the summer. We have had a few mild winters were they have survived outside in our south coast garden but they usually suffer or die as soon as temps regularly drop below 0c.
Position in full sun with a well drained compost. Water frequently during the summer. During the winter allow the compost to stay dry only giving them a little drink if they start to wilt a bit.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm Pot.
