Usually grown as an house plant requiring a humid atmosphere such as a bathroom or kitchen in a bright to shaded position out of direct sunlight. The course maidenhair fern like foliage is often pink to mahogany when the fronds first appear changing to a mid green. Eventual height around 50cm with a similar spread.
We have had some success at growing this as a garden plant, overwintering outside with the rootstocks surviving short spells down to -5c if given a thick mulch for the winter. Although usually evergreen the foliage does die back if frosted with new growth not emerging again until late May.
Sent in a 9cm Pot.
