A large South African evergreen perennial with a gorgeous, architectural looking, rosette of broad, strap like, smooth leaves that can give a mature plant a spread of over a meter in width. The flowers are typical Kniphofia flowers but bigger and are produced as densely packed florets that open a dep orange fading through to a yellow green sort of colour. The flowering stem can reach about 1.5 meters in height and stands proud above the foliage.
Flowering usually occurs in Summer but we have had our plants come into bloom at the most irregular times of year including December if the weather has been mild enough. It is reliably hardy through much of the UK if given a moist but well drained soil and full sun.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm, 2L or 10L pots (Sizes depend on availability).
May be cut back for shipping.
