Long strap like foliage starting a purple green and then turning a deep maroon as the plants mature. The colour can become almost black if sunshine and heat is at a premium. A thick dark purple stem emerges from each rosette of leaves topped with densely packed, pinky purple coconut scented star shaped blooms. Reliably hardy in warmer parts of the UK although a good winter mulch is recommended.

Plant in full sun with a well drained soil. Max height 15cm to 20cm.

Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot. May be cut back for shipping. Sent as dormant plants if purchased in winter.
