This is an upright, deciduous perennial is native to Southwest Asia. It produces large, oval, coarse, grey-green leaves on erect stems. In Spring to Summer (May-September), it bears whorls of beautiful, hooded, soft yellow, tubular, flowers. Position in areas of full sun facing South, East or West – tolerates partial shade. Requires acidic to alkaline, moist but well-drained or well-drained soil such as; chalk loam or sand.
