An easy to grow houseplant that equally lends itself to outdoor summer bedding adding attractive, colourful foliage to shaded areas. It forms well filled clumps of pale green leaves with maroon edges.
When growing as a houseplant position in a bright spot but out of direct sunlight and water regularly during the summer months, reducing watering for the winter keeping the compost on the slightly drier side. Plant in any well drained potting compost. If growing outside again plant in a well drained soil in part shade. Lift before the first frosts and get back under heated glass for the winter in UK zone 8 and below gardens. These are proving to be reliably root hardy in UK zone 9 and above gardens if given a thick mulch.
Sent as a young plant in a 9cm pot.
