A dark leaved form of our own native cow parsley that is seen growing in dappled shade to full sun along footpaths and woodlands throughout much of the UK. Tall growing so ideal for middle to back of a border or in woodland gardens. The best foliage colour seems to be produced in full sun when the dark purple leaves turn almost black. This looks particularly stunning when the tall stems are produced in late spring to early summer topped with dainty umbels of small white flowers and pink bracts. Not fussy about soil conditions and easy to grow. Max height 1 meter. Goes dormant mid to late late summer (depending on how hot it is) with new growth starting again in late Autumn.
Sent in a 9cm Pot.
