This clump-forming, deciduous perennial has mounds of fern-like foliage with thin, upright stems. It produces deep pink flower spikes with light pink stamens; these appear in Summer, from June to September. Position in areas of either full sun or partial shade. Requires acidic to alkaline, moist but well-drained or moisture-retentive soil such as; chalk, clay, loam or sand.
